The current Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service, and current general secretary of the PSOE-M after the resignation of Juan Lobato, Oscar Lopezwas interviewed this morning in the program presented by Susanna Griso‘Public Mirror’, from Antena 3.
The minister has dedicated a space to justify the importance of 2025 being the year in which the end of the Dictatorship is celebrated in which he plunged Spain for almost 40 years, with Francisco Franco at the helm. This was announced by the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchezduring a Democratic Memory act at the National Music Auditorium last Decemberwhen he revealed that the Government will organize during this year “more than a hundred events” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the dictator’s deathunder the motto ‘Spain in freedom’.
In this sense, the general secretary of the PSOE of Madrid has regretted that the Popular Party have decided do not attend any of the events organized by the Government of Spain with the aim of “making known” to the population what happened during that time.
“I think the PP is wrong by erasing itself from this event”has assured the minister, who has justified that “This is something that should unite us all”since “the 50 years of democracy in Spain belong to everyone.” Likewise, he has assured that the controversy with these acts seems to him “an excuse not to do what needs to be done: which is to value everything that Spain has advanced, especially in rights and freedoms” something that, in his opinion, “It’s what we all had to value”.
For this reason, Minister López has justified the actions that begin today by alleging that it seems to him “the most normal thing in the world in an advanced, democratic and modern country like ours”since it must be “capable of remembering and being able to do pedagogy”.
“The Transition begins with the death of the dictator and with the processes that begin afterwards to call elections“If not, no one could value the role that King Juan Carlos I and Adolfo Suárez had during that period,” said the minister, who has expressed feeling “concerned” about the “regression in values” that he says he is seeing among young peoplelike numerous “sexist, xenophobic and racist comments in schools.”
The minister gets out of trouble in the rifi-rafe of Yolanda Díaz and Cuerpo
The Minister for Digital Transformation and the Public Service has expressed his opinion after the Second Vice President of the Government, and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Diaz, this morning accused the Minister of Economy, Carlos Bodyof “veto“Urgently process the reduction of working hours, after the Ministry has decided delay your admission to the Delegate Commission for Economic Affairs and have asked process it by ordinary means.
“I do not share some statements that Yolanda Díaz has made”the socialist minister has assured, “What I do tell you is that this Government will reduce the working day”. To do this, he has used as an example that “just like We said we were going to raise the SMI, and we have done it; Just as we said that we were going to raise pensions and fill the piggy bank, and we have done it; and just like We said that we were going to carry out a labor reform to create more and higher quality jobs.and we did it”, will also happen with the reduction of the working day.
López assures that “the one who should have been giving explanations is Ayuso, not the Prosecutor’s Office or the Government”
The general secretary of the Madrid socialists has also spoken about the case of the partner of the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Diaz Ayusofor which the Supreme Court charged the State Attorney General, Alvaro Garcia Ortizand has called Ayuso’s Chief of Staff to testify as a witness, Miguel Angel Rodriguezthat he did it this morning.
“The facts are the facts, and they are forceful and stubborn. Who commits a crime? Mrs. Ayuso’s boyfriend. Who leaks a lie? Mrs. Ayuso’s Chief of Staff. And the one who has to give explanations is the attorney general? No man, no,” stated Óscar López, who then finished by assuring that “Miguel Ángel Rodríguez is an expert in turning the tables”.
“The person who should have been giving explanations is Ayuso, not the Prosecutor’s Office or the Government,” said the minister, who has assured “with all forcefulness, tranquility and serenity” that he trusts in the innocence of García Ortiz.
“If all the leaks in this country were investigated, the courts would not be enough, because it happens every day”concluded the general secretary of the PSOE of Madrid.
