Xiaomi presents its Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro models with AI and photography as flags

At an event held in Berlin, Xiaomi has presented its new series of smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 T and 14 T Proa range that follows in the footsteps of its older brothers with small reductions in performance and notable reductions in price, about 300 euros difference.

In the absence of specific tests and with the specifications in hand, it is a more than tempting smartphone for a price starting at €799. What draws your attention about this mobile? We could talk about its design with 6.67-inch AMOLED screen (up to 4,000 nits brightness) and titanium or vegan leather body. It could also be mentioned that the microchip it has for a brain (a Dimensity 9300+) is, in the words of Mediatek, the most advanced they have developed to date. And it has a reason: AI.

We had already seen its capabilities in previous versions thanks to the joint work with Google, for example, in its Gemini chatbot. But now Xiaomi brings its own ability to target three specific sections: productivity, travel and image. The first of them, called Productivity AI, allows you to record and create text notes, distinguishing up to 12 different interlocutors and make summaries of what they have said.

In the travel section, it is capable of translate up to 27 languages in real time. Both this and the previous one require an internet connection. The last mode not only allows you to create images, it is also possible to edit videos simply with your voice: we ask you to use our vacation photos, play original music and there you go.

And speaking of images… Since Xiaomi started its collaboration with Leica, its cameras have taken an enormous qualitative leap. In this case, the Xiaomi 14T Pro’s cameras are similar to those of the Xiaomi 14 with one small detail: its sensor is almost a third brighter, which allows it to capture more light and provide more details.

In total the device has a 32 MP front camera, and on the back two 50 MP and one 12 MP. Without having tried it we can’t say much, but Leica is a guarantee of quality and Xiaomi is doing better and better in this section. If we add to that a zoom with a magnification of 60 x (digital), it is very tempting.

And finally another of the highlights of this new series: a 5,000 mAh battery (interesting, although not surprising), but a 120 W charger (included) and the (possibly) highest capacity of wireless charging: 50 W, a beast considering that the latest iPhone is in these figures…wired.
