If there is something that must be recognized WhatsApp is that it offers a constant stream of updates. In the last week alone, it has been learned that Goal I was working on a feature in the style of AirDrop of Manzana call Nearby Share which allows you to share files with people nearby without having to have an Internet connection. Also the addition of Augmented reality filters and effects in video calls And suddenly, he won thousands of animated stickers by integrating those from Giphy, a provider whose GIFs could already be used in WhatsApp, into the app’s search results.
The application has a large user base of its beta version, which allows new features to be known before their deployment in the stable version, as in the cases mentioned above. The latest addition to the beta is a new feature called ‘double tap’.
Double tap is A new way to react to a message which allows you to respond even faster than with the so-called reactions. These arrived in July 2022 and, although at first cutting the selection of an emoji to reply to a message to a single tap didn’t seem like a big deal, the truth is that many users have become accustomed to using them frequently and the same will probably end up happening with the double tap.
WhatsApp is working on a new double-tap message reaction feature for Android beta!
WhatsApp is now developing a new feature to allow users to quickly react to messages with a double-tap, and it will be available in a future update!https://t.co/HNLgBlQy48pic.twitter.com/NZq74BdcNC

This new reaction has appeared in the version v2.24.16.7 from the beta for Android, according to the WhatsApp specialist media WABetaInfo. The name is quite explanatory. Quickly double-tapping on a message automatically sends a heart emoji as a replyindicating that the recipient agrees or loves what they received, depending on the context. If you want to send a different emoji, you’ll need to long-tap first to use reactions in the usual way, and a third if you want to use one other than the six the app displays in the pop-up window.
Users will be able to use double tap with text messages and multimedia content such as photos, videos, GIFs, etc.. WABetaInfo notes that the ability to disable double tap is not currently planned and will work by default once the feature is rolled out, something for which there is no date yet.
