Spain will face Tuesday, September 15, with a stable environment in much of the territory. The sun will dominate the map and temperatures will rise again in numerous points in the interior, after several days of contrasts between regions.
The heat will reach its highest values in the Guadalquivir, Guadiana, Tajo and Ebro valleys, as well as several areas of the Canary Islands. Córdoba and Seville will reach 39 degreeswhile Badajoz will remain at 38 and Cáceres, Toledo, Lleida or Zaragoza will be around 37.
The thermal distribution will not be uniform. Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea will begin a notable decrease in the maximum temperatures, with records of 23 degrees in A Coruña and 24 in Santander, while The Mediterranean coast and the archipelagos will maintain mild nights. The thermal amplitude will be especially visible in areas far from the sea, where the diurnal rise will coexist with still mild mornings.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) maintains a situation of general stability for Spain, dominated by high pressures. The scenario will favor slightly cloudy or clear skies and will leave rainfall practically restricted to the extreme north and to some points of the Strait.
According to the agency’s prediction, maximum temperatures will rise in the eastern interior and in much of the Mediterranean regions, with values above 35 degrees in areas of the peninsular South Atlantic and the northeast. They are also expected tropical nights in the southwest and coastlineswith minimums of at least 20 degrees and records that may not drop below 25 in some parts of the Canary Islands.
In the capitals, in addition to Córdoba and Seville, Badajoz will reach 38 degrees, while Cáceres, Lleida, Toledo and Zaragoza will reach 37. Madrid, Albacete, Cuenca, Murcia and Valladolid will mark 35 degreesand Girona will reach 35, an increase that will be more pronounced in the eastern interior.
Cloudiness, rain, wind
The north will be the main exception to the dominance of clear skies. In the north of Galicia and the Cantabrian area, the tail of a front and the change in wind will increase the cloudiness until leaving cloudy or overcast skies, with probable weak rains in Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea.
The western coast of Galicia will retain low cloudiness and may register coastal mists or fogs. The wind will also make clear differences. It will blow moderately from the east in the Strait and from the north in the Canary Islands, while Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea will have strong intervals on its coasts; In the Ebro valley, the wind will be moderate and may reach very strong gusts.
In the rest, light winds will dominate, with moderate intervals in other areas of the northern third and on the coasts of the eastern façade. Alborán will be under an eastern component, the Mediterranean will have a southerly wind and in the rest the western and northern components will predominate, a distribution that will complete a day of contrasts between the warm interior and the softer coastlines.
