Roborock aims for more with its two new F-25 models

Yes, it is much more comfortable, but when it comes to stubborn stains, we all give up and use the mop and with great pressure. Collecting dust and hair is one thing; Tackling a dry, greasy or embedded stain requires something more. And it is precisely in that territory where the new wet and dry vacuum cleaners want to gain prominence. At IFA 2026, Roborock has presented two of its new flagship models, the F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 and the F25 Pro Turbo Combotwo machines that take cleaning automation to a broader field.

The first relies on a tool that a conventional vacuum cleaner can hardly offer: steam. The Roborock F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 incorporates a Turbo Steam mode capable of generating up to 2.5 times more steam volume than the previous generation. Once the system is preheated, can maintain a stable flow of steam at 180°C in just 30 seconds. The idea is simple: use heat to soften and loosen stubborn stains and grease residue before removing them using a combination of scrubbing and vacuuming. But the model is not limited to adding steam. The F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 uses an intelligent system capable of automatically adapting its cleaning power to soil conditions. Instead of forcing the user to continually decide what level of power they need, the device adjusts its operation on the fly.

The technology also tries to solve one of the most common weak points of this type of device: places that are difficult to reach. Its design allows the body of the vacuum cleaner to be placed practically horizontally for access under low furniture. And when you approach a wall, the SensEdge AI robotic arm automatically changes its position to bring the cleaning system closer to the edges.. Triple-Edge Cleaning technology leaves a distance of up to 0 mm from walls and corners, with the aim of reducing that characteristic strip of dirt that usually remains around furniture.

Automation continues after the job is finished. The self-cleaning and drying system prepares the device for the next use and, at the same time, helps prevent moisture build-up and bad odors. The second novelty presented in Berlin proposes a different strategy. The Roborock F25 Pro Turbo Combo starts from a quite practical question: why have several vacuum cleaners when one can take on different functions? Its 5-in-1 system allows you to use it as a wet and dry vacuum cleaner and convert it, using a removable motor and different heads.into a conventional cordless vacuum cleaner for carpets and other surfaces.

The result is a kind of Swiss army knife of domestic cleaning. Its goal is not only to clean better, but to do it with a single device in scenarios that would normally require different equipment: hard floors, carpets, sofas or hard-to-reach areas. In a home with little storage space, that versatility can be almost as important as vacuum power.

And it doesn’t lack power. When it detects that more intense cleaning is needed, HyperScrub technology simultaneously increases water flow, scrub intensity and suction capacity. The system reaches up to 25,000 Pa of suction power, a figure that alone says little about how it will clean a house, but which gives an idea of how far the technological race of these devices is reaching. In this case, The target is especially dried dirt and embedded stains, where simple vacuuming is usually not enough.

Mobility has also received attention. The SlideTech 2.0 wheels are designed to facilitate changes of direction and make the movement of the device more precise. And for those who live with animals, The JawScrapers design seeks to reduce one of the most annoying problems with vacuum cleaners: hair ending up wrapped around the brush. and force cleaning to stop to remove them.

But perhaps one of the most interesting novelties of Roborock’s presentation at IFA does not have to do directly with power or artificial intelligence. The company has announced that several S20 and F25 series devices have obtained the “Suitable for allergy sufferers” certification from ECARF, the European Center for Allergy Research Foundation. These include the Saros 20 Flow Complete, the Saros 20 Neo and the F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2.

The seal introduces a different dimension in a market accustomed to competing with figures: pascals, steam temperature, autonomy or power. ECARF certification is granted following scientific criteria aimed at demonstrating the ability of products and services to reduce exposure to certain allergens and minimize the risk of allergic reactions. For people who suffer from allergies, therefore, the question is not only how much a machine sucks, but what happens to what it sucks in and what impact the cleaning process has on the home environment. The certification comes from a non-profit organization founded by Professor Torsten Zuberbier, linked to the Charité Hospital in Berlin, and aims to provide consumers with a reference based on scientific criteria when choosing products related to allergies.
