In 1991the Finnish wireless network operator Radiolinja launched the first mobile network GSM commercial in the world and, with it, came the first cards SIM for mobiles. This may be comfortable for some users, but it is worth remembering that it has its risks. The PIN is a security measure and removing it can allow a third party to use the mobile’s cellular connection. It is true that, currently, mobile phones have other security measures, such as their own PIN or biometric identification methods, which make the SIM PIN redundant.
The requirement to enter the SIM card PIN can be eliminated on both phones Android as in iOS. In this article we explain how to do it through the mobile settings. How to remove the SIM PIN on an Android mobile
- Open the Settings from android
- Select Security and privacy.
- Tap on More security settings.
- Click on SIM card lock.
- Turn off the slider Lock SIM card.
How to remove the SIM card PIN on an iPhone
- Enter the Configuration of your iPhone.
- Tap on Mobile data.
- Click on SIM PIN and deactivate the slider.
