Guterres claims to be “very worried” about the “operations” of the Indian Army on the border with Pakistan
The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, said that he is “very concerned” about the “operations” of the Indian Army on the border with Pakistan, after the start of the ‘Sindoor Operation’ Against Terrorist Operations “in response to the attack that took place two weeks ago in the town of Pahalgam (Cashmira) on Wednesday.
“(Guterres) is very concerned about Indian military operations throughout the control line and the international border. It demands the maximum military moderation of both countries. The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan,” said the spokesman for the United Nations Chief of Nations, Stéphane Dujarric in a statement sent to media.
These statements arrive after the Pakistani authorities have encrypted in at least eight dead and 35 wounded in the air attacks executed on Wednesday by the Indian Army against alleged “terrorist” positions in Pakistan and the Kashmir controlled by Islamabad, in the middle of an increasing escalation of the tensions.
