One of the popular accusations of the “hydrocarbons case” already warned, at the end of last February, of the discovery of WhatsApp messages between Koldo García and Víctor de Aldama in which the “husband” of the former socialist minister Miquel Iceta is mentioned. These messages appear in one of the latest reports delivered to the National Court by the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard.
In a letter, known by LA RAZÓN, Hazte Oír asks Judge Santiago Pedraz to give the corresponding operating company a free letter to proceed with the “identification” of the owner of the mobile phone number that the former main advisor of José Luis Ábalos shared with the businessman in the “Koldo case” on April 6, 2021. The contact sent was identified as “husband Iceta” and, to this, Koldo added a request: that he call him “through the WhatsApp application.”
This former employee of the Ministry of Transport did so within the framework of a conversation he had with the businessman about the process of applying for state authorization so that Villafuel SL could act as an operator in the fuel sector.
Specifically, in view of the presentation to the Ministry of Ecological Transition of a series of documentation necessary for the file and after the meeting that both of them had at the ministry with Claudio Rivas, one of the main people investigated in the hydrocarbons plot.
The meeting at the ministerial headquarters revolved around the validation of the content of the “responsible declaration” that they requested from Villafuel, which is the company of the millionaire VAT fraud that is being investigated within the framework of this criminal case.
After receiving from Aldama the image showing the entry in the ministerial electronic registry of two “requests” and a report “on the impact of the own funds” of the company linked to Rivas and Carmen Pano – known for the alleged deliveries of 90,000 euros in cash in Ferraz – Koldo replied by sending him the telephone contact of “Iceta’s husband.”
This would be the couple that the president of the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC) has had for years. Ángel García Rosique, a pilot by profession, on whom “El Español” focused this week for his alleged “connection” (through Koldo and Aldama) in a subsidiary of the Ávoris airline which the Executive rescued with 320 million of public funds.
Given the appearance of this person in the intercepted communications, the association, which leads the popular action in this procedure, demanded that the head of the Central Court of Instruction number 5 of the AN confirm who is the owner of this telephone line, due to the temporary connection of this “data” with the indicated meeting and with the processing of the file for Villafuel. The company that Judge Pedraz is investigating for defrauding the Tax Agency of more than 182 million euros.
Furthermore, the partner of the current Spanish ambassador to UNESCO, stationed in Paris (France), is already mentioned about a month before the aforementioned conversation in an entry in the Outlook electronic diary owned by Koldo.
On February 27, 2021, the former temporary Government worker noted “husband Iceta”, along with “theme president of the Canary Islands”, which was none other than Ángel Víctor Torres, current holder of the Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory portfolio.
Returning to Hazte Oír’s request, he urged the instructor to track data from the shared phone related to its “registration or deletion” and “possible changes of ownership”, as well as the identification of the “IMSI/IMEI associated in the relevant period”, which runs from 2020 to 2021, without leaving aside “any other technical extreme that allows ensuring the correct identification of the user and the traceability of the line on the dates of interest.” And, especially, with reference to “the time interval close to April 6, 2021.”
Furthermore, the civil entity informed the magistrate that its will, once it has been determined who is the owner of the number, is to subpoena him as a witness. So that he can be questioned in court and thus be able to “clarify whether he maintained communications” with Koldo and “with those investigated”, in order to know the “purpose and content” of his messages and, even, “his eventual presence or knowledge of meetings or procedures linked to the file” of Villafuel. As well as “any relevant point for the investigation of the authorization of a wholesale hydrocarbon operator.”
As this newspaper has been able to confirm with sources in the procedure, Judge Pedraz has not ruled on whether he accepts or rejects this request.
