Stability will continue to be the main protagonist of the weather in Spain this Saturday, in a day hardly any precipitation or thermal shocksalthough with a very clear warning: The east will blow strongly, with very strong gusts, in the Strait and other areas of Cádizaccording to the latest prediction of the AEMET.
The anticyclone will maintain dominance over most of the country, with slightly cloudy or clear skies as a general tone and without notable precipitation. The exceptions will be specific: in the Strait area and in Melilla there could be some cloudy intervals with the possibility of some drizzle, while in the east of the peninsula, some isolated showers in parts of the Catalan coast are not ruled out, with a low probability.
In the morning, Galicia, the Cantabrian area and the upper Ebro will dawn with intervals of low clouds, which will clear as the day progresses, as will happen with the scattered fog banks planned for inland areas of the northern and eastern thirds of the peninsula.
In the Canary Islandsthe north of the mountainous islands will maintain cloudy skies or with intervals of cloudiness, while the rest of the archipelago will enjoy a slightly cloudy or clear environment, although with haze entry at altitude.
The heat rebounds in the southwest, with more than 35 degrees in Miño
Maximum temperatures will rise in the Canary Islands, Galicia, the Cantabrian area, the upper Ebro and a good part of Andalusia and Extremadura, while in the rest of the country they will barely move. The focus of the most intense heat will be in the depressions of the southern Atlantic slopewhere it is expected exceed 35 degreesa figure that could even be reached locally in Miño, in the northwest of the peninsula.
The capitals confirm it: Córdoba and Seville will be around 37 degreesand Badajoz and Cáceres will not be far away, with 37 and 35 respectively. The minimums, for their part, will barely vary or will rise slightly, with a somewhat more pronounced rebound on the Southern plateau. The southern Mediterranean coast, the lower Guadalquivir and the archipelagos will once again leave tropical nights, without dropping below 20 degrees.
Levante with very strong gusts in Cádiz, trade wind in the Canary Islands
The wind will concentrate the most relevant warning of the day. The east will blow strongly, with very strong gusts, in the Strait and will also extend to other areas of the province of Cádiz, while in the Canary Islands the trade wind will be felt with strong intervals and equally very strong gusts are not ruled out.
Added to this will be an east and northeast wind, of moderate intensity, on the coasts of the Cantabrian Sea and the southeast of the peninsula, which may reach strong intervals in the north of Galicia and Alborán. The Tramuntana, for its part, will blow moderately in the Empordà and the Balearic Islands, although with a tendency to subside throughout the day. In the rest of the territory, the wind will be weak, with a predominance of the east and north components.
As for the islands, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will move between 24 and 26 degrees, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife between 22 and 30thus closing a Saturday in which the wind, more than the temperatures, will make the difference in much of the southern coast.
