This is the first, and so far only, resignation that has occurred in relation to the assault on Ceuta on July 30 and 31. It takes place after the declassification last Wednesday, in whose documents it could be seen that the CNI had alerted him to the possibility of an assault.

“When the CNI has an alert, it goes to the competent organizations. A WhatsApp is not a report or an alert, but a simple exchange of information. “If it was serious, it would not have been for that position.”stressed the person in charge of the Executive delegation in the autonomous city.
Meanwhile, sources close to Pedro Sanchez They pointed out: “An organization that believes that a massive entry will occur the next day does not limit itself to sending an ambiguous WhatsApp to a minor position: it raises it. That is its responsibility and its competence.”
The intelligence reports include the exchange of messages between the CNI informant and the delegate’s chief of staff. “In RRSS there is a call for an assault by fence and sea tomorrow at 8 p.m.. It is the first head to roll due to the Ceuta crisis. From the beginning, the lack of reaction on the part of the Government has been in vogue. Initially, Moncloa chose to deny any warning, despite the open war with the Minister of Defense, Margaret Robles. Once the secret documents were declassified, the strategy was to minimize the warnings. “At no time did the CNI send a formal notice or alert to its chain of command or to any member of the Executive by any means,” defended government sources.
The reality, however, is that the CNI did inform the head of the delegate’s cabinet in Ceuta, who now decides to leave his position while his hierarchical superiors continue in office.
