Sony’s pricing policy for the current generation of consoles has changed in Europe. From April 2, 2026, the company applies new recommended prices for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, PlayStation 5 Pro and PlayStation Portalan increase that reduces the savings margin between new models and part of the refurbished catalog sold on PlayStation Direct.
New prices in Europe
In Europe, from April 2, 2026 and with the latest increase applied, the PS5 model with reader goes to 649.99 euroswhile the digital edition stands at 599.99 euros and PS5 Pro reaches 899.99 euros. PlayStation Portal too goes up to 249.99 euros.
New prices on reconditioned
In Spain, PlayStation Direct maintains official refurbished PS5 consoles for sale under the Certified Reconditioning. Are models reviewed by Sony that can present slight signs of use and are sold with a 12 month warranty from the manufacturer. The list published in the Spanish store offers the reconditioned model of PS5 Digital at 399.99 euros, Reconditioned PS5 with reader at 449.99 euros, reconditioned PS5 Slim Digital at 499.99 euros and reconditioned PS5 Slim with reader at 549.99 eurosamounts that represent 50 euros more compared to previous references in the same catalogue.

New or refurbished?
This new price distribution modifies the general value of PS5 within the official channel. For the player who intends to spend less, refurbished units continue to be the cheapest option, although for the buyer who prefers the Slim design, the distance compared to a new console forces him to assess whether the savings compared to a brand new console are worth it.
