The PSOE faces a political crisis after the publication of a UCO report that links Santos Cerdán, former secretary of Organization, with an alleged plot of irregular commissions for 620,000 euros. Cerdán resigned, although he maintains his deputy minutes.
President Pedro Sánchez apologized publicly, expressed his disappointment and announced an external audit and the restructuring of the Executive Committee, discarding an electoral advance. However, the opposition, especially the PP, considers these measures insufficient and has asked Sanchez’s partners to withdraw their support.
