1,000 million for spy satellites Paz II

The Government of Spain has approved an investment of 1,011 million euros For program development Paz IIwhich contemplates the design, construction and launch of Two new spy satellites of land observation for the armed forces.

This is the greatest initiative of this type in the history of the country, and consolidates Spain as a relevant actor in the field of European spatial defense.

The program will be led by Hisdesatpublic satellite government services, also responsible for the satellite Peace i —In orbit since 2018— and the series SPAINSAT NG. More than 60% of the components of the new satellites will be of national manufacturewhich means a strategic impulse to the Spanish aerospace industry.

Strategic observation capabilities
