This week a series of storms will approach the Peninsula from the Atlantic and its fronts will leave rains in large areas, especially in the west. The temperatures will be soft, with frost restricted to mountain areas and a snow level located around 1,500-1,600 meters.
A front will take this Tuesday in the peninsular west, in a day with few temperature variations. The prediction of the State Meteorology Agency (Aemet) points out that the Peninsula will be under an Atlantic flow, With a frontal system in cold and partly occluded entering the west.
With the passage of the front the heavens will darken from the southwest and There will be rainfall in the western third, which can be locally strong and/or persistent in the southwest quadrant. In addition, weak snowfalls are expected in the Pyrenees and the west of the central system and the Cantabrian mountain range.
In the rest of the Peninsula and in the Balearic Islands the intervals of high clouds will predominate, although locally will be drizzled associated with low clouds that will cause some mist and fog bank. In the early hours there will be Brumas and fog banks in large areas of the Atlantic aspect, depressions of the northeast and the Ebrothat thick and persistent are expected in both plateaus and the high Ebro.
Temperatures will remain without significant changes, with values of 18-20 degrees in the Cantabrian, the Mediterranean and Andalusia, reports Servimedia. It will make more heat in Granada, Murcia and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (21 degrees), and colder in Ávila, Cáceres and Lugo (12).
Generalized rains
On Wednesday the front will advance through the peninsula causing more generalized, abundant rains inside and weak in the Mediterranean slope. Diurnal temperatures will descend, with maximum of 10-12 degrees inside the northern half, although in the southeast the 20 degrees will be exceeded. Frosts will remain limited to mountain areas and the snow level will remain at 1,500 meters.
As of Thursday, uncertainty increases, but Aemet provides the Atlantic Front to finish crossing the Peninsula. It could be reactivated when arriving at the Mediterranean, leaving weak rains on the coasts and the Balearic Islands. In recent hours, another front could affect Galicia. The minimum temperatures could descend, extending frost to the northern plateau.
