Cerdán’s research progresses: they track accounts and emails and enter businessmen
Apart from the political storm, the investigation to former number 3 of the PSOE Santos Cerdán makes its way to the Supreme Court, with the focus on its bank accounts and its corporate mail in the party, and the entry in the case of five entrepreneurs under the suspicion of the payment of bits by public works.
The entrance this Friday of agents of the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard at the headquarters of the PSOE, on Ferraz Street, to clone the mail of Santos Cerdán accounts for the magnitude of an investigation in which Judge Leopold Puente Ver “consistent indications” that the former secretary of socialist organization could incur crimes of criminal organization and bribery.
Little more than a week after the police report that involved him in alleged corruption with former minister José Luis Ábalos and his former Koldo García, Santos Cerdán, without a seat or socialist card – is formally investigated in the Supreme Court, where he will declare on June 30 and the judge will assess whether he imposes precautionary measures.
The judge welcomes the thesis of the Civil Guard and refers in his last car to the indications that Cerdán could have participated, together with Ábalos, “in the perception of economic awards in exchange for irregular concessions of public works”, being able to “be in charge of distributing” the “raised” amounts.
His judicial appointment, a week before that of Ábalos and Koldo – shown on Monday – will give way to the beginning of July to that of five newly charged entrepreneurs in a case that already begins to take flight and in which the judge warns that a “neat analysis” of the “numerous intervened effects” in the “multiple records” is pending.
