The Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, Luis Enrique Ortega, inaugurated this Wednesday the conference ‘Challenges and bets of digital transformation in Public Administration’, organized by the SOCINFO Digital Information Society magazine, where he has claimed the importance of digitalization in these times, although he pointed out that this must focus on people and always focus on public service.
“The essence of the Administration should not be bureaucracy, but rather the vocation for service,” said the vice-councilman during his speech, while also insisting that technology “only” makes sense if it contributes to providing public services. “more effective, personalized and secure”
Likewise, Ortega highlighted the projects promoted by the Ministry of Mobility and Digital Transformation in areas such as intelligent document analysis, use of language models to automate administrative processes and cybersecurity, through the SOC and CORS centers, and recalled the Board’s commitment to guarantee equal opportunities in access to digital with programs such as CyL Digital or Territorio Rural Inteligente, which bring technological innovation closer to rural areas.
Finally, the vice-counselor assured that the final objective is none other than “build” a more modern, inclusive Administration that is closer to the people.
