The AEMET launches the red alert in Cantabria and the Basque Country

The wind, waves and rain caused by the arrival of Storm Benjamín to the Peninsula will cause the notices in a total of 34 provinces. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a red notice (extreme risk) in Cantabria and in the provinces of Vizcaya and Guipúzcoa (Basque Country) by sea combined from the northwest with waves of 8 meters offshore and wind from the west or northwest of 62 to 74 km/h (force 8), locally from 75 to 88 km/h (force 9), also offshore.
