A Finnish Startup, Ixi, has developed self -effect glasses that adjust the graduation in real time according to the exact point to which you look at the view. No buttons, without gestures, without transition areas. Only a lens that adapts to you, instantly.

What differentiates these glasses from other smart optical devices is their simplicity of use. They do not require screens, applications or gestures with their heads. Inside, an eye sensor tracks the movement of the eyes and calculates the distance to the object you are looking at. In just 0.2 seconds, liquid crystal lenses adjust their shape to offer a perfectly clear vision.
This dynamic adjustment is possible thanks to a combination of ocular monitoring algorithms and advanced materials that allow modifying the curvature of the lens without mobile parts. The IXI co -founder, Niko Eiden, compares the progress with the jump that the self -effect was in the photograph: “We want to do for the glasses what the automatic cameras did for consumer photography.”

What is missing for these glasses to reach the market

The Startup Ixi has already raised 36 million dollars in investment to accelerate this process and open a new test laboratory. The company plans public presentations before the end of the yearwhich would mark a key step towards its marketing.
