Thought in action

One is already old, I personally turned 92 on All Saints’ Day, and just as I walk with a cane, limping a little, it seems that I still have a usable head for some tasks of daily life and thought.

One manages to work as best one can, and in that sense, unfortunately I reached the age of typing a little late. And I haven’t mastered the computer game, in which I manage quite well with the smartphone. And although I have decided to overcome that situation, you have to accept things in life as they come. In that sense, my grandfather Clemente, who was a wise man, was not able to talk on the phone and he tried to do so in such a way that we told him “Grandpa, don’t worry, not understanding the phone at your age is very normal.”

I use the phone with a certain fluidity, and with the hearing aid system, Danish to say the least, it is useful to me. Even though they are shameless monopolists who charge 2,500 euros for each headset piece and do not provide insurance for anything other than 40 percent of the value of the device. I don’t know what purpose market watchers are, whether to make life easier for users and make the monopolists work a little harder, no matter how descended from the Vikings they may be, or what else.

For the rest, I have invented a shorthand that my secretary and I understand (great!), which makes my job easier by writing rather quickly. And almost more than all that, dictating is worth it, with a previous outline already in mind when you start giving him the microphone.

Said and done, Eva and Begoña.
