This summer camp is free and teaches childhood to better use technology

In a context where digital skills are so essential, an educational proposal for the summer months arises, which combines fun with critical and informed access to technology. This is the digital camp, a free initiative aimed at young people between 9 and 17 years old in Spain.

Driven by the Cibervolutionary Foundationwith more than 20 years of experience in technological volunteering, the camp proposes a week in which girls, boys and adolescents explore the digital world from a healthy perspective. The activities, designed to be participatory and adapted to each age, cover from the detection of false news to the protection of privacy to programming, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

One of the keys to the program is its practical approach: there are no master classes or passive screens. Each group has educators who guide dynamics to learn by playing. At the end of the experience, participants obtain the European Certificate Digcomp, which proves their Digital competitions with validity in the European Union.

The objective goes beyond academic. Digital camp promotes skills such as teamwork, critical thinking or good coexistence. It also seeks to reduce the digital gap, especially in rural areas or with less resources, through Collaboration with municipalities, educational centers and social entities.

Thanks to its inclusion in the Digital Competencies Program for Children, promoted by the Ministry of Youth and Children and funded by the Next Generation EU funds, Participation in the camp is totally free For families. More information at www.campamentodigital.org
