The Spanish Meteorology Agency (Aemet) has updated this Friday its forecast on the heat wave that the country supports since last Sunday, and has brought bad news again. It has postponed, for the third consecutive day, the end of this extreme heat episode.
Now, the Aemet predicts that the heat wave in Spain will last up to at least Next Thursday, August 14.
Initially, the agency estimated that the end of the heat wave could come as soon as last Thursday, August 7. Finally, it postponed that date until Sunday 10. Throughout the week, the institution was expanding dates as the weather forecast was clarified. It was thought that temperatures could start down on Tuesday 12 or Wednesday 13.
New prognosis
Finally, in the last update of its special notice per heat wave, the aemet predicted that this episode will endure, at least, until next Thursday. Moreover, the agency now estimates for Tuesday and for Wednesday next 44 degrees Celsius around the main depressions of the southwest quadrant.
