China and the United States have a constant love/hate relationship in the technological section. The United States singles out companies to veto that compromise its security, while the Asian giant is dedicated to making technological advances that make the US government (and the public) question its decision. It happens with different brands of mobile phones and also with drones. This is the case of DJI and its latest product.
The popular Chinese drone manufacturer has launched the O4 Air Unit (in regular and Pro versions). These are units smaller than a credit card and weigh just 8 grams (32 for the Pro version) designed to transmit 4K images at 120 fps, with a latency of between 15 and 20 milliseconds and are compatible with first-person vision glasses.
The units have a USB-C port for file transfer, a microSD card slot, dual antenna connectors and camera connectors. The entire system allows you to have a 1080p live view at 100 fps on the glasseswith a field of view of up to 155°. The system also includes a camera with a sensor up to 1/1.3 inch.
Having an accessory like this that can be connected to a drone allows you to obtain high-quality images with very low latency and control the flight in the first person, without a doubt it is a strong card on the table for United States that must decide whether to accept DJI or not. And for a price of 115 euros, it is undoubtedly a great bet.
