They rescue a peregrine falcon on Loíza Street

A peregrine falcon was rescued on Sunday morning in front of a building in the Loíza street in San Juan.

According to the National Wildlife FederationThe peregrine falcon is a bird of prey of large size and agility that feeds mainly on other birds.

“They can be difficult to identify due to their rapid flight and camouflage coloration. The wings and tail are blue-gray, while the back and head are a darker brown. Sometimes the cheeks may have a dark brown teardrop-shaped mark. The bird’s chin and neck are white, and each eye is surrounded by a yellow circle. Dark brown bars run down its white chest. If the wings are open, dark brown bars are also seen along the wings. Peregrine falcons are approximately 1.5 feet tall with a wingspan of 3.5 feet.read the official page of this species.
