At first glance, the DXRacer Drifting Series It seems to have been designed as a sports gaming chair, on a proposal that maintains much of the brand’s classic design. Well luckily, this chair is what it seems. At La Razón Hardgaming we have acquired a unit that we have used in our usual gaming and work sessions to check how it behaves and draw some conclusions.
Assembly and contents of the box
Inside the box are included parts necessary to assemble the chairthe base, wheels, piston, seat, backrest, armrests, cushions and the corresponding hardware. The assembly process follows the classic scheme of this type of chairs and It is not particularly complex. Once the installation is completed, that moment of “first contact” arrives.
The Drifting Series L maintains the sporty style that is working so well for DXRacerwhere there is no lack of a wrap-around backrest, the seat with marked lines and that combination of black and red colors. The signature indicates that this series uses upholstery EPU Leatherettea steel structure and high-density foam, which is designed to offer resistance and an easy-to-clean surface.
Speaking of ergonomics
The chair incorporates gel headrest, curved lumbar cushion and 3D armrest. Precisely, the latter allow adjustment of height, forward and backward movement, and lateral orientation, a set sufficient to adapt to different tables and positions of use. In our experience, it offers a firm feel, reinforced with lateral support and a seat that leans toward traditional gaming models rather than office chairs.
The backrest allows you to recline between 90 and 135 degrees and the balancing mechanism add a 15 degree marginwhich allows you to go from a straight posture for playing or working to a more relaxed position for taking a break.
The 3D armrests perform well functionally, although they fall short of the more complete high-end systems, which add more freedom of movement or more generous surfaces. In any case, they are enough to position your arms with some precision in front of the keyboard, mouse or controller.
The trotting chair
At daily jogging speed, the chair behaves vigorously and always seems ready to show you that it is prepared for many hours in front of the computer. Something contributed to by a set of 60 mm PU wheels that move smoothly on smooth surfaces, while the aluminum base and class 4 hydraulics ensure reliability of use.
In summary
The DXRacer Drifting Series L transmits security from the first moment. It is not a particularly discreet or light chair, but you can fully trust it. Perhaps its main limitation may be in the adaptation to the user’s body, since the sporty cut and the sides of the seat will not be equally comfortable for everyone. However, it has in its favor the EPU Leatherette upholstery, a comfortable headrest with gel, the lumbar cushion, the 3D armrests and the reclining backrest, which ultimately They manage to form a really recommendable set for play and work.
