The Network of Museums and Science and Technology Centers of Puerto Rico is born

With the purpose of connecting, making visible and strengthening the spaces dedicated to education and public participation in science and technology in the country, Science Puerto Rico (CienciaPR) and the Trust for Science, Technology and Research announce this Wednesday the official launch of the Network of Museums and Science and Technology Centers of Puerto Rico (ReCiTe PR).

ReCiTe PR emerges as a collaborative platform that seeks to make visible and promote the resources, programs and events of museums and science and technology centers, facilitate strategic alliances, strengthen capacities, the exchange of good practices and promote scientific and cultural tourism through equitable access to learning experiences in science and technology for people of all ages in Puerto Rico.

The initiative was presented after a dialogue process between co-founding organizations committed to education and public participation in science and technology, and who laid the foundations for a common agenda.

“Puerto Rico has extraordinary institutions that inspire curiosity and turn science into an accessible and relevant experience for our communities. With ReCiTe PR, we are creating a collective structure to amplify that impact, learn from organizations and ensure that more people can see themselves reflected in science and innovation.”expressed Greetchen Diazexecutive director of CienciaPR, through a press release.
