The weather in Spain over the next few days will be marked by the alternation between dry and rainy days, along with notable changes in temperatures, as explained by the spokesperson for the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
The meteorologist has indicated that it is “a variable time, typical of these dates”with rains in several parts of the country and a sharp drop in thermometers over the weekend, before the situation stabilizes from Sunday.
The rains will continue this Wednesday in the peninsular Mediterranean area and the Balearic Islandsespecially in the south of the province of Valencia and north of Alicantewhere they can be more abundant. With the passing of a front, too It will rain in Galicia, the Cantabrian Sea and the Pyreneeswith a high snow level located between 1,800 and 2,000 meters.
Temperatures will rise, especially during the day and in the southern half of the country, where Temperatures will exceed 20 °C in areas of the Guadalquivir valley and the Balearic Islands.
Thursday of truce and Friday with a new front
Thursday will be a day of stable weather, with slightly cloudy skies and no precipitation in most of the country, although some showers could be recorded in the southeastern mountains. They will also form Dense fog banks in inland areas, which could hinder visibility and affect traffic.
Temperatures will continue to rise and will generally reach more than 15ºC in the central hours of the day, with maximum temperatures above 20ºC in parts of the Cantabrian Sea and the Mediterranean, and even more than 22ºC in the Guadiana and Guadalquivir valleys.
On Friday the relatively stable weather will continue in much of the peninsula, although a new front will arrive in the northwest and leave rains in Galicia, Cantabrian communities and the north of Castilla y León, that could extend to other areas of the north. ANDn Galicia and Asturias rainfall will be more abundant and copious snowfalls could occur in the Cantabrian mountain range from 1,000-1,200 meters.
Precipitation will also be abundant in Galicia and Asturias and snowfall may be heavy in the Cantabrian mountain range, from about 1,000 to 1,200 meters. In the rest of the country, the quota will remain above 1,700 to 2,000 meters.
Strong thermal drop and possible snow on Saturday
On Saturday the front will advance towards the Mediterranean and, after its passage, a cold air mass accompanied by northerly winds, which will cause greater instability. Rains are expected in the communities Cantabrian mountains, the Pyrenees, Catalonia, mountainous areas of the center and east of the peninsula and the Balearic Islandss, where showers could be strong and persistent.
The snow level could drop to 600-800 metersso snow is not ruled out even in lower areas of the eastern peninsula. Good weather starting Sunday

During the first days of next week, a more stable environment is expected with rising temperatures, with little rain in most of the country.
