The Spanish Meteorology Agency (Aemet) has announced that Spain will breathe a little as far as high temperatures are concerned. In a seasite season, the country will register pronounced descents of the mercury, with falls of up to 5 and 10 degrees in some areas.
This is due to air masses that will fly over the peninsula the next few days, and that “they will be cooler than usual for the time.”

The respite will last little, because according to Aemet herself the heat will return to the end of the week, leaving the map of Spain in red as usual for weeks.
For next Thursday, when this mass of cold air will be noticed, strong showers are expected in areas of Catalonia, Balearic Islands and the southeast peninsular interior, and cloudy skies in the north with precipitations in Cantabrian and Pyrenees.
