Summer’s own heat is about to reach a large part of Spain. Although these days a brief thermal descent is expected due to the passage of a trough, from the weekend the thermometers will begin to rise remarkably. This Thursday and Friday a cooler environment is expected. A trough that will advance through the Mediterranean, causing storms and a decrease in the thermometers. Temperatures will descend this Thursday in Much of the peninsular northern half, as well as in the Mediterranean area and the Balearic Islands. On Friday, this thermal descent will be extended to the southeast quadrant. In both days a softer environment will predominate during the central hours, except in areas of the peninsular southwest, where the maxims could reach 30ºC.
From Saturdaythe anticyclone reinforcement and a dorsal on the peninsula will overcome the thermometers. On Sunday, most of the country will exceed 20 degrees. In almost the entire interior they will remain above 25ºC and will also be overcome in the Mediterranean area, Balearic Islands and in the Canary Islands. The highest maxims will be in the peninsular south. The 30ºC can be reached in Extremadura, the southwest of Castilla-La Mancha and a good part of Andalusia and Murcia. In the Guadalquivir Valley they will be able to exceed 33-34ºC.
Where will it be hotter
Atmospheric stability will leave virtually clear skies and, together with the greatest insolation of this time of the year, will favor a progressive ascent of temperatures day after day. It is expected that in the middle of the week the maxims are between 8 and 10 degrees above the usual values for this time of year in the valleys of the Duero, Tajo, Guadiana, Guadalquivir and the Ebro. At the end of the week, The maximum could be up to 12 higher degrees in many areas of the peninsular interior.
Seville, Córdoba, Ciudad Real, Badajoz or Jaén could reach 35-36 degrees. And this heat, more typical of summer months, could leave maxims of 30 degrees on the northern plateau and above 31-32 degrees in the Ebro Valley, Madrid, west of Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, as well as in large part of Andalusia and Murcia.
Tropical nights
The minimums will also rise from next week, although less accused. In the center, this, south and in the islands, they will be in general above 12-15 degrees.
