British actor has returned to the San Sebastián Festival 14 years later of his last visit, to present the film ‘Bucking Fastard’, directed by Werner Herzog, and has claimed the importance of staying connected with daily life despite public exposure and fame. “A wise man once told me that fame is like being in a place where something passes very quickly and people look at it, but the important thing is to get out of there and do things in everyday life.like taking the kids to school, making food, going to the supermarket.

In his opinion, this connection with reality is fundamental for his profession. “I think that is the essential part of being an actor because it is very important to find balance,” he indicated.
Bloom highlighted his enthusiasm for returning to San Sebastián, where he has enjoyed the food and the sea. “I have been swimming“said Bloom, who assured that he loves returning to the city and described the festival as “fantastic.” “I am very proud of the film. San Sebastián is a great audience to celebrate this film,” he stated. The actor has defined ‘Bucking Fastard as “unusual”, “exceptional” and “poetic”.
The actor has described as “wonderful” the opportunity to work with Herzog, whom he has defined as “a unique director” capable of creating characters or films “like a poem.”
Bloom’s role in ‘Bucing Fastard’
In the film, Bloom plays Gareth Moroneya man whom he has defined as “very simple”, who “plays”, is “very dynamic” and “enjoys what is happening to him”, although the story acquires greater depth as he comes into contact with the feelings of the protagonist sisters.
Asked about his career, Bloom explained that as a young man he discovered that he wanted to be an actor when he realized that all his favorite film and television characters were played by actors. “I thought, of course, andor I want to be an actor to be any of the characters that I like so much“, he recalled.
