With more than 13,000 new self -consumption connections during 2024, the Naturgy group electric distributor, UFD, achieved a growth of 35%. In addition, last year it exceeded 50,000 facilities connected to its electricity network in Spain. Distributed between Castilla-La Mancha with 4,968; Galicia, with 3,410; Community of Madrid, with 3,272 and Castilla y León, with 1,366, the figures show the company’s commitment to the energy transition
On the other hand, collective self -consumptions have tripled the number compared to the previous year, which also constitutes a very notable growth. Thus, the company has already connected more than 230 facilities of this type to its network with 2,830 associated customers, which means multiplying by eight the number of consumers supplied through this modality in just one year. On average, each of these points of collective self -consumption adds 12 users.
The distributor is also determined to facilitate its customers the management of its energy supplies. To do this, first and before addressing the processing of connection applications in accordance with the new processes defined by regulators, UFD customers can advise and inform themselves through their website, in a space created to help them in process management, with tutorials, description of the procedure and documentation to be delivered. Then, UFD manages connection requests and collaborates closely with them to expedite the deadlines.
The company has a digital services platform, a space where users can perform all their efforts from any device, at any time and from anywhere, and the main point of contact between the various agents of the electrical system.
In 2024, the average time for the activation of a self -consumption that meets all the requirements, since the application of the marketer is received, is approximately 3.2 days, five below the limit established by the regulations.

As for its geographical distribution, UFD is present in Galicia, where it is the largest electricity distributor, as well as in Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León.
