Hand in hand with Artificial Intelligence, Google’s search engine experiences its greatest transformation in 25 years

Google announced the most significant redesign of its iconic search box in a quarter of a century, transforming it into an interface powered by its new artificial intelligence (AI)Gemini 3.5 Flash.

At the Google I/O developer conference, the American technology giant explained that the new search engine is designed to “expand and adapt intuitively to the user’s needs,” by allowing it to describe requirements in a more natural, longer and complex language.

“The smart search box puts our most powerful AI tools at your fingertips, making it easier to ask questions,” said Liz Reid, vice president and head of Google Search, from Shoreline Amphitheater, an outdoor auditorium located just outside the company’s headquarters in Mountain View, California.
