He Ecoexploretory: Puerto Rico Science Museum and the Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean (CEAPRC) signed an agreement on Friday to promote the development of educational research, courses and didactic events in science and culture.
The alliance between the two entities will seek to impact thousands of children and young people interested in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Stem, in English), to promote critical thinking, scientific knowledge and exploration of disciplines in a fun way.
“It fills us with great enthusiasm to establish this alliance with the CEAPRC, which further enriches our informal education offer in the field of sciences and will allow us to establish new scientific, educational and cultural programs and projects. Opportunities such as this allow both institutions to contribute to the development of students who show or who can develop interests in STEM disciplines ”he said Jenny M. The agreement will help the development of educational skills of the Ecoexploretory staff, through the exchange of experiences, techniques, methodologies and contents. In this way, the informal education offer for visitors will be strengthened.
At the same time, it will allow the planning, development and execution of high scientific, educational and cultural projects with experts and resources of both entities.
“This alliance represents the union of two leading organizations in Puerto Rico, dedicated to the educational transformation of our young people and their families. The CEAPRC, founded in 1976, has as its north the research and humanistic education based on the vision of its founder Don Ricardo E. He added that the Caribbean and Puerto Rican approach of its graduated programs of Archeology, History, Literature and Visual Culture, among others, will be allied in the integration of humanistic values in the work of scientific and ecological education of the eco -exploratory.
