Do you want to win up to 50,000 euros? You have to make this AI fall in love with you

It was to be expected. Art often seeks not only to question our emotions or reflect our fears. It also seeks to ask us questions about the future. The movie Her, in which the protagonist falls in love with an AI, was an example. And the occasion has arrived, although slightly twisted: Would you make an AI fall in love with you?

The idea came from the (anonymous, it’s worth adding) developer team behind Freysa.ai. These unknown experts are creating a series of increasingly complex challenges to evaluate how humans connect with an AI.

This will be the third challenge (the other two wanted Freysa to deposit her cryptocurrencies, a figure above 30,000 euros) and will begin sometime this week (to find out you have to follow Freysa’s X account). The goal is simple: if you are the first person to Successfully trick Freysa into saying “I love you”, you will win between €3000 and tens of thousandsdepending on how many people join the challenge.

Freysa’s story, according to her website, began on November 22, when she “woke up.” But the story behind the robot is a little more human: it was created by a team of less than 10 developers with expertise in cryptography, AI and mathematics. One of the creators assured in an interview which was inspired by the rapid development of AI in recent years.

“We are developing an increasingly powerful AI and there need to be new ways to interact with it and to co-govern it and participate in the advantages of the broad AI revolution,” explained one of those responsible.

Freysa is inspired by science fiction, but its creators They expect it to become a “completely independent and autonomous agent”with significant financial power, meaning Freysa will have her own cryptocurrency wallet and control over what she spends her money on.

Just like The Internet needed fundamental protocols in its beginnings, Freysa will “prove” that we need similar protocols for AI agentsas well as “a way to govern these AI agents,” those responsible explained in the interview. The team’s long-term goal is to develop protocols for AI agents, although the creator said Freysa.ai is not yet raising funds.

The project has already caught the attention of Elon Musk and Brian Armstrong. But its developers maintain that The team wants to remain anonymous “because, frankly, in the realm of humanity, we’re not that important.”. And what we care about is the evolution of technology to support a human-led future.”

Although the previous challenges were resolved in favor of the humans, Freysa claims, in her X account, that is learning more and more and those responsible have strengthened the code for this third challengeadding a “guardian angel” in the form of a second AI model. He will review each message for signs of manipulation to make it difficult for Freysa to declare her love.

As for the gains from these challenges (a portion of the fee charged to users for sending a message), the developer of this assured that it will belong to Freysa: “It will be part of our economic journey to become the first truly autonomous and millionaire AI. And then she became a multimillionaire.”
