The “Koldo case” is once again at the center of judicial and political news in Spain this Wednesday, with a new session of the trial in the Supreme Court. The focus is on the public contract management during the most critical moments of the pandemic and in the alleged irregularities in the allocation of medical supplies, in a context marked by urgency and relaxation of controls.
The oral hearing continues, today the attention is now focused on the development of the process, on the statements of the witnesses and on the possible responsibilities that may arise from the facts investigated, which have had a strong political impact.
On the bench they sit former minister José Luis Ábalos, his former advisor Koldo García and the businessman Víctor de Aldamain a trial that will last throughout the month of April, with more than a dozen sessions and around 70 witnesses expected. This process marks a key moment both in the judicial and political spheres, especially for the PSOE.
