Board and Oracle, hand in hand to promote digital transformation in Castilla y León

The president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, met this Monday in the company, among others, of the acting Minister of Mobility and Digital Transformation, José Luis Sanz Merino, with the general director of Oracle Spain, Albert Triolain a work meeting that was held at the headquarters of the Presidency.

Objective: address the digital transformation of the community, with special interest in technological assets such as those in León. The president of the Junta de Castilla y León has led this meeting to strengthen strategic collaboration.

The general director of Digital Health of the Ministry of Health, Juan Manuel Gil González, also participated in this meeting; the vice president of Oracle Spain and Portugal Database Platform, Sergio Sáez: and the director of Public Affairs of Oracle Spain and Portugal, Montserrat Pardo.

During this meeting, the relationship between Castilla y León and Oracle at this time was discussed, which focuses mainly on the modernization of public services. In fact, not long ago the Board authorized a sum of 1.06 million euros from European funds to improve the backup infrastructure of Oracle databases in the Regional Health Management. In addition, you should remember that in August 2024, the Board approved an investment of 7.7 million euros to ensure the rights to use and update Oracl productse until the year 2027.

The Board has used tools such as Oracle WebCenter Sites to manage its digital platforms, managing to reduce implementation costs significantly.
