The anticyclone arrives, Storms disappear and temperatures riseThe weather will tend to stabilise in almost all of Spain, with many hours of sunshine and maximum temperatures with values now more typical of midsummer, between 35 and 40º in large areas of the country.
The prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) indicates that, in general, the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands will tend to stabilise this Tuesday, although Menorca (Balearic Islands) and Gerona (Catalonia) will be on alert due to coastal phenomena. There will only be clouds with some weak and scattered rain in northern Galicia, the Cantabrian slope, the upper Ebro and the western Pyrenees.
In the north-east of Catalonia, Mallorca and Menorca there will be cloudy intervals with probable showers in the central hours in the archipelago and in the afternoon in the Catalan territory. In addition, there will be cloudiness in the mountains of the north and east of the peninsula, with the possibility of some scattered showers in the interior of the Valencian Community, the Cantabrian area and the north of the Iberian Peninsula.
Maximum temperatures will tend to increase, notably in the southwest of Andalusia. At the same time, some decreases will be recorded in the Cantabrian, Ebro and Alboran coasts. As a result, temperatures are expected to exceed 35ºC in the Guadalquivir and Guadiana rivers. In addition, minimum temperatures will rise in the Cantabrian, upper Ebro and southwestern half of the peninsula, and decreases will predominate in the rest of the territory.
The capitals of province that will record the highest values Cordoba and Seville will have 37ºC; Badajoz and Murcia with 36ºC; and Ciudad Real, Granada and Jaen with 34ºC.

He Wednesdayand on Thursday These will be summery days. Both days are expected to be stable and there could only be some light rain, especially on Wednesday, in the Cantabrian Sea, with some showers also in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
On Wednesday, temperatures will exceed 30 degrees in large areas of the northern half and 34 to 36 degrees in the southern half, with cities like Badajoz, Seville and Cordoba, which will be around 38-40 degrees and with tropical nights -between 20-22 degrees- in large areas of the southern half.
Thursday will be an even hotter day. Cities like Madrid will be around 35 degreeswhile in Cáceres, Toledo and Granada the thermometers will approach 38 degrees and in Badajoz, Córdoba and Seville 40 degrees.
ANDFriday The temperature rise will continue and it will be a day of intense heat with more than 35 degrees in large areas of the northern half and more than 38 degrees in the center and south of the peninsula and up to 40 degrees in the south of Castilla-La Mancha, and in parts of Andalusia and Extremadura.
From weekenduncertainty in the forecast increases, but showers and storms could form in the afternoons in the northern half and, although temperatures would tend to drop, they will continue to exceed 34 to 36 degrees in large areas of the territory.
