The company Toll roads, Abertis subsidiary in the areahas started a pilot experience for the reuse and recycling of asphalt on its roads. In collaboration with the PADECASA Chair of the Alfonso X el Sabio Universitya trial is being carried out using asphalt recovered from milling layers that need renewal to analyze its performance on the pavements of these roads. With this study, we seek optimize the use of resources and reduce wasteeitherin line with the company’s commitments to combat climate change.
Thanks to these measures, which are part of Abertis’ sustainability plan, the company not only reuses waste derived from road milling, but also encourages the use of recycled materials from other industriesdemonstrating that innovation and sustainability can collaborate in the creation of safe and lasting infrastructures.
This approach provides new opportunities to build more efficient and profitable infrastructures in the long termin addition to protecting the environment.
