We have already talked about Dyson on several occasions and there is always a common denominator: a differentiating design and scientifically conceived benefits to make the most of the product qualities. But generally the products we can analyze are temporary and we barely have them a couple of weeks. Using them daily for a month, allows a deeper analysis. And that is the objective in this case.
Currently, Dyson manufactures some of the broom vacuum cleaners with the best market performance, we check it with the submarine. And the Washg1 (with a price of 500 euros) does not aspire. It is rechargeable, it has clean and dirty water tanks separated and removable, and it self -limp to place it at the base. It also uses a mop head with two wide microfiber rollers that turn in the opposite direction of each otherthis means that they not only catch by suction, but also for friction, something that we have noticed and is appreciated in houses with pets.
The clean water of the tank is dispensed over the rollers for wet cleaning of the ground, while the rollers sweep the loose waste towards a sliding tray instead of obstructing the dirty water tank. This is a very practical measure when cleaning the device: We will always have a dry part to throw away, unlike other similar products in which everything is mixed and is quite unpleasant and helps accumulate odors.
The cleaning of Brushes are made during the same use and dirty water is introduced into a second deposit for emptying. And as for design, it is undoubtedly a Dyson: the Washg1 is thin, elegant and stylish, with a cobalt blue loop -shaped handle.
The combination of vacuum cleaner and mop works very well and, in the kitchen and in the living room, especially, where more shared life is usually made, guarantees a quick and no trace cleaning. There is hardly any moisture mark or a sticky testimony on the ground. And that with liquids (milk, wine, soft drinks and even soup) and with some solids. It works equally well in wood and ceramic soils.
It has four scrubbing modes, basically depend on the amount of water used in them, allow to control the amount of water, an advantage when cleaning sensitive floors such as wood or very stained. The “Water Tank” It can be used only with water or add some cleaning solution that does not have to be the original or recommended by the brand, it is enough that it is of little foam.
The Washg1 has an autonomy of up to 45 minutes (Depending on the selected mode) with a countdown that is visible on the screen. The manual speaks of 35 minutes, but I think that figure is with all the configurations to the maximum. For deep cleaning and the whole house, it goes just (supposedly clean about 280 square meters with a load), but if we make rooms separately and put it to load there is no problem.
One advantage: the battery is removable, which allows only this part to be loaded without carrying the entire vacuum/mopa to the cargo station. Of course, for the self -limp, it has to be at the cargo station. The disadvantage is that the load time is 4 hours. My personal experience is that if we have everything prepared to aspire (furniture in position, all objects collected from the ground, etc.) The 40 minutes are enough for most homes.
I value the ease of use. With only a few buttons to press, the Washg1 is, in general, very simple and easy to use, and the screen is clear, informative and easy to read. Despite a total weight of almost 5 kilos, it is handled well, the circular handle is comfortable to support And, a few days later, the technique of removing, emptying and re -placing the deposits, is customary.
It should be clarified that the vacuum part is not the main virtue. Yes, it has An interesting suction power (taking into account that it is not a vacuum to use)but what does mainly is to collect the dry spills while the microfiber rollers moisten the ground, so the waste that comes to the tray ends up getting wet. For example: popcorn that has fallen after a careless film session, can specify more than one pass to get to the deposit. This could be one of the defects of the Washg1, if we use it as a vacuum.
As for the tanks and their operation (take them out, clean them, etc.) perhaps it would be easier for them to be removed independently, but both must be taken out, an operation that the first times is complex, until we gain practice. Taking into account that, as the name implies, It is the first version and sure there will be a Washg2, Sure Dyson resolves some obstacles.
Result: If we use it only to scrub soils and we do not expect a vacuum, it is very efficient, fast and we get it in a short time. Now, if we want one that also aspires and not only frie, the best is a robot that brings together both options.
