A complaint of sexual harassment in Móstoles, in Óscar López’s drawer

An alleged complaint of alleged sexual harassment in Móstoles remains unresolved, awaiting a response from the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Service, headed by Óscar López. The case dates back to November 2024, when a disciplinary file was activated in the City Council for alleged sexual harassment that affects a former official with national qualification of the consistory (a position that depends on the State and that includes the secretary of the City Council, auditors and treasurers).

On October 14, 2024, the City Council’s Human Resources area activated a confidential procedure after becoming aware of the complaint. The instruction was carried out in accordance with Royal Decree 247/2024, which regulates the protocol against sexual and gender-based harassment in the General Administration of the State, as stated in the documentation consulted by LA RAZÓN.

The case was reported by an official who recounts behaviors in which the accused tried to create situations that would lead him to stay alone with her in the office. The official would have suffered “inappropriate behavior consisting of forcing her to be alone, uncomfortable looks, personal questions, inquiries into her habits, and likewise prohibiting other officials from being present at forced meetings, all of the above produced a stressful situation for the official that required medical and psychological assistance.”exposes the information that appears in the City Council.

According to the file, this situation It led to a condition of anxiety for which the worker is currently receiving medical assistance and psychological treatment.

In January 2025, the City Council authorized the official to carry out her work in a telecommuting after his reinstatement, as an organizational measure adopted within the framework of the procedure.

Officials with national authorization are disciplinary dependent on the State, so it is up to the Ministry to resolve the file once received, in this case to the ministry headed by Óscar López.
