Río Piedras will host the 8th Puerto Rico Walk against Climate Change

The Puerto Rico Bridge invited citizens to participate, on Saturday, October 24, in his 8th Puerto Rico Walk against Climate Changewhich for the first time will be held in Piedras Riverwhere the organization’s headquarters are located.

Federico Cintron Moscosodirector of El Puente Puerto Rico, indicated that This year’s central theme will be comprehensive health. The event, he added, seeks to draw attention to the impact of global warming on physical and emotional health, and recognize the populations most vulnerable to these effects, including children, elderly and homeless people, and caregivers.

“Bringing the walk to Río Piedras is bringing it home. Here, we work every day with a community that is already experiencing the effects of the climate change in their health and we want this to be a space to learn, take care of ourselves and demand action”said Cintrón Moscoso, via press release.
