The intense heat of recent days is beginning to subside in Spain, although this Monday they still remain yellow warnings for high temperatures in six provinces: Seville, Córdoba, Jaén, Huelva, Albacete and Madridwith maximum values ​​of up to 39 degrees between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., depending on the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

In Andalusia, the alerts affect Seville, Córdoba, Jaén and Huelva, where temperatures of between 36 and 39 degrees are expected, especially in the countryside of Seville and Cordoba, the Guadalquivir valley in Jaén, Sierra Morena, El Condado and the Huelva coast.

In Castilla-La Mancha, the warning is limited to Albacete, with maximums around 36 degrees in La Mancha of Albacete. In the Community of Madridthe yellow level is activated in southern areas, Las Vegas, the metropolitan area and the Henares corridor, with values ​​of up to 36 degrees.

According to meteorologist Samuel Biener, from Meteored, the beginning of the climatological summer arrives with a progressive decrease in temperaturesalthough the heat will continue to be intense in the south of the peninsula. The passing of fronts and atlantic troughs It will also favor the appearance of alllocally strong storms in several communities.

Biener points out that throughout the week the circulation of storms in the North Atlantic will be reactivated, which will allow the entry of slightly cooler air massesespecially in the north of the peninsula. This situation will be accompanied by the passage of fronts and waves at height that will leave precipitation and showers.

This Monday, showers are expected in the Pyrenees and more isolated in mountain areas. On Tuesday, the instability will increase with rains in Galicia, the Cantabrian coast, Navarra and the Pyreneesin addition to storms in the afternoon in the northeast of Catalonia.
