Eddie Irizarry Roblesvice president of the Caribbean Astronomy Society (SAC), stressed that this red moon – which will begin to be partially, at 1:09 am, from Thursday to Friday – will be brushstroked by a slight meteor rain.
“While the eclipse is being seen, it coincides with a slight meteor rain. It is not that many are going to see many, but there is the possibility that one or another meteor is seen during the eclipse, especially if we are observing it from a place where there are not too many lights ”explained the scientific disseminator.

The clarity with which the eclipse is seen will also depend on the conditions of time. However, the SAC spokesman said that the fact that it will last 65 minutes expands the possibility for people to see it, even if there are clouds.
Although, every year, a minimum of two lunar eclipses occur in different parts of the planet, it is not common that they can frequently appreciate from the same place. In fact, The last time a red moon was seen in Puerto Rico was in 2022 and the next one will be seen in 2029.
“Taking into account that you would have to wait four years to see the next one, from Puerto Rico, it is worth trying, even at dawn,” he accentuated about the eclipse, which will be favorable to see in all the Americas.
Among the other significant astronomical events that are expected this year, is the explosion of the star T Coronae Borealis, which occurs every 80 years. This is anticipated that it occurs before summer. This binary star is dim, so it is not visible to the naked eye.
