Lists are the new WhatsApp feature: so you can use them to put order in your chats

For a large number of users, WhatsApp It’s the main app they use on their phone and the reason they unlock it over and over again. It started replacing SMS and has ended up doing so with calls for many use cases. It is one of the main centers of the digital life of people and, with use and time, It is normal that it ends up becoming a gibberish of chats in which it can be difficult to find what you are looking for.

WhatsApp has been adding functions that make it easier to navigate the jungle of chats, such as filters Favorites, unread and Groups or searching within conversations. Now, a new feature that will help bring order to user conversations is being rolled out. It is about WhatsApp lists.

Be careful, here we are not talking about the lists that one can enter in a message, but about the ability to create new filters that group and organize conversations. As reported by WABetainfo, the WhatsApp chat lists function has finished its development and is being deployed among users of the betaand in the coming weeks it will reach more.

Lists work similarly to Favorites, although giving more customization options. It consists of configuring new filters that the user can name however they want and group the contacts or groups they want into them. This way, you will only have to click on the created label so that the app shows only the chats from that list.

It is a more advanced function than Favorites and, in fact, replaces it in the application settings. With Favorites, you could select contacts or groups. With lists, You group them in the way that is most convenient for you on a daily basis..

For some time now and by default, WhatsApp already shows 4 lists or labels at the top of the chats tab: All, Unread, Favorites and Groups. But, except Favorites, none allow any degree of customization by the user. With lists, the possibilities are much greater. You can create one called Family and have the corresponding contacts there to be able to check them quickly. EITHER Job either Friendships or anything else the user wants.

The lists are completely private and the contacts do not know if they are in one or under what name.

To be able to create lists on WhatsApp, if you do not want to wait for the rollout to all users, you must be part of the application’s beta program and follow these steps:
