What were the origins of the company?
The seed of ECAMED was the idea of a group of agronomists who formed a team to offer technical support to farmers, especially in the ecological field. We did it because we detected the gaps that existed when it came to solving the problems in this area of action, so we began to investigate how we could combat the difficulties that the field was facing. We have always been clear that something that we could not lack was proximity to the farmer, since it is the only way to be able to act quickly enough to create effective solutions.
What is the current photograph of ECAMED?
Our central facilities are in Molina de Segura (Murcia), but we also have several headquarters throughout the Mediterranean (Almería, Águilas, Alicante…) and we have excellent strategic partners – both in the national territory and in other countries – that provide us with of a large amount of information on the field in real time of the results of our products.
These investigations today have a global presence, as we serve clients on all five continents through our network of professional distributors. ECAMED is a “Glocal” company because although we think globally, we act locally. With this vision, we serve as a link between farmers from different parts of the planet to facilitate the transfer of technology.
What customer profile are you targeting?
We address the farmer who fights every day to improve the quality and quantity of his harvest, in favor of increasingly healthier foods for the final consumer.
What is ECAMED's value proposition for the agricultural sector?
We have the ability to grow at the pace that our clients do to always respond to their needs. To achieve this, we maintain a fluid communication channel with the client and with our strategic partners, so that we can optimize results and be at their side always and at all times. The sum of this strategy allows us to create a climate of essential trust, because there is nothing that speeds up business more than trust. And at ECAMED we always create lasting relationships with our clients, because we set our sights on the long term.
In practice, what does this philosophy translate into?
At ECAMED, our priority is the search for innovative solutions that provide security and dynamism to the sustainable development of organic agricultural products. We are also at the forefront of the market through advanced ecological technologies such as biodynamic systems, adapted microorganisms or systemic products.
What differentiates the company from other consulting firms in the sector?
At ECAMED we offer our Strategic Consulting services to advise on everything related to crops, whether in planning, on-demand advice, implementation, auditing or even turnkey projects. We have been the first to develop a comprehensive system that allows us, in an agile and efficient way, to create products and solutions for organic farming in an increasingly dynamic and competitive world.
In this sense, the LEAD Program contemplates actions in all stages of the agricultural production process. And since what cannot be measured cannot be improved, we measure the quality of products and services for the qualitative and quantitative growth of our clients. Excellence is reflected every day in the results obtained with effort and passion.
What are the future challenges of ECAMED?
Our future plans are to continue expanding to all corners of the planet where we can help with our research. At the same time, we want to continue working under the guidelines of quality certifications such as CAAE, ÖKO or DEMETER. As a result, we are currently listed on the FIBL lists of the Organic Farming Regulatory Council, which provides access to data collected as part of its annual survey on organic farming around the world.
