Walking towards the hydrogen economy

In order to lay the foundations of the world economy of the future and bet on alternative energy resources, it was held in Huelva the first edition of the National Green Hydrogen Congress.

This meeting, which took place between February 7 and 9, brought together the hydrogen associations of Germany, Ireland, Romania, Portugal, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia, Chile, Korea, Canada and Spain. Attendees were able to enjoy technical presentations and conferences, presentations from companies in the sector and a perfect space for networking with more than 900 participants.

For this, there was the chemical industryhe electric sectorcompanies related to mobility and with other companies for which hydrogen may be of interest.

Hydrogen, increasingly present at international summits

The congress took up the baton of other more popular summits, such as the United Nations Climate Change Conferencewhich took place in Dubai and which already pointed to this energy as one of the most relevant of the moment.

At COP 28, representatives from up to 37 governments supported the “Mutual Recognition of Certification Schemes for Renewable and Low Carbon Hydrogen and its Derivatives”. With this framework, they sought to collaborate on the reciprocal recognition of their respective certification systems for hydrogen and its derivatives with carbon emissions.

Example of this were the ISO methodologieswhich standardize the evaluation of greenhouse gas emissions and promote public-private collaboration in international hydrogen corridors.
