Vicente Vallés, on the pressure on Judge Biedma: “The PSOE sewers did not set limits on themselves”

Vicente Valles has dedicated part of his analysis on Antena 3 Noticias to the alleged maneuvers against Beatriz Biedmathe judge who investigated Pedro Sánchez’s brother. The judge’s statement before Judge Santiago Pedraz, in the National Court, has led the journalist to pronounce on the seriousness of the events being investigated: “The sewers of the PSOE did not set limits on themselves”.

During the newscast on Thursday, October 8, Vallés began by recounting two episodes that the magistrate had transferred to the instructor. As he explained, Biedma was told that his brother had gone to his daughters’ school and, on another occasion, that the person who had gone was his secretary. The presenter highlighted the detail that made those visits especially disturbing: “She doesn’t have a secretary nor does she have a brother”.

The appearance is part of the investigation into a alleged plot related to Leire Díez and the possible actions aimed at hindering judicial proceedings that affected the PSOE or the Government.

Vallés speaks of a “mafia persecution”

When addressing suspicions about who would be behind these maneuvers, the journalist mentioned Santos Cerdan and recalled that several witnesses point to him as the most responsible. However, he added a clarification about these accusations: “That is what a court will eventually have to confirm or deny”.

Next, Vallés toughened his assessment of the actions denounced by Biedma. “They organized a mafia persecution of the judge who was investigating Pedro Sánchez’s brother”he stated. The presenter also alluded to the alleged contacts with a clan of drug traffickers and stopped at one of the terms collected in the testimonies: “And that word, eliminate, is textual.”

These are extremes that are part of the judicial investigation. The judge, for her part, He did not directly attribute the maneuvers to Leire Díez: In his statement he stated that he does not know her and that he does not know if she was behind what happened.

The alleged surveillance of the magistrate and her daughters

Another of the episodes that the presenter highlighted affects Biedma’s daughters. As reported in the news report, the judge explained that she had been aware of recordings of the minors while they were playing in a park. Vallés pointed to the possible relationship of these videos with the alleged surveillance being investigated.

For the journalist, the judge’s story elevates the importance of the case. Her statement, she maintained, places her “at a level of severity that is difficult to overcome”due to suspicions that criminals had been used to intimidate her and influence her decisions.

The investigation should clarify who promoted these actions, which ones were carried out and what responsibilities may arise from them. The forcefulness of Vallés’ analysis does not change this pending task of the courts.
