To sink your teeth into. We already have the most powerful mobile phone of 2025 and it costs less than you think

Looking at the technological panorama, it is very good news. Since Huawei was vetoed by the United States, when we talk about the best phones, we always think of Samsung or Apple. Recently, that has changed and other brands (Oppo, Xiaomi, for example) have disputed this site. And now it’s Realme’s turn with the GT7 Pro.

The surprising thing is not that until now this manufacturer was characterized by correct designs and an excellent quality-price ratio. What is surprising is that, in just six years (the firm was born in 2018, just “a few days ago”) it has achieved a smartphone like the GT7 Pro, the company’s best mobile in its history. And probably 2025.

Why this statement? Let’s go in parts. When it comes to design, Realme has taken care not only of the materials (glass and metals) but also of the profiles: straighter and with a selection of colors (completely gray or orange, with burgundy sides, the most striking personally) discreet and elegant. In short, the design aspires and breathes quality.

It is true that the camera module is large, but not annoying and its size has a reason: three lenses signed by Sony (two 50 MP and one 8 MP, to which we must add a 16 MP front). Thanks to this, the photographic section is one of the most outstanding in this phone. If we add to that AI (deleting people, correcting blurry photos and creating images from sketches), Realme has taken a firm and long-term step in photography. One that many will want to imitate. Even the big ones. To that he puts the icing on the cake: an expressly underwater photography mode.

Let’s go with the battery: 6,500 mAh (which partly explains its weight of 220 grams). It charges from 0 to 100 in less than 30 minutes and in just 13 minutes we have a 50% charge. And with five minutes (120 W charger included) we go over 20%. The figures are record-breaking, especially considering that until now 5,000 mAh seemed to be a standard in this smartphone sector.

The screen is a 6.78 AMOLED with a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and a latency (the ability of the screen to react to our touch, of 2,600 Hz, this seems like a detail, but when we add the microchip (Snapdragon 8 Elite ) the brain becomes serious… and playful. The power of Qualcomm’s latest is such that, in tests, it has not only been shown to reduce battery consumption (a feature also driven by one of the largest cooling chambers on the market) or that is close to 10,000 points (above what Apple uses… in its computers), it has also been shown to be the first mobile phone on which you can complete Triple A games or, what is the same: those that are played on consoles. To this we must add 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, a combination that accelerates the power of the Snapdragon.

And all this for a price of €799, half of the latest iPhonewith little to envy of this one. Although in the coming weeks
