This will be the honeymoon of Almeida and Teresa Urquijo: brief and in the Maldives and Bhutan

The couple already has everything ready to travel, although they will only be away from Madrid for ten days. The first destination chosen by newlyweds is the islands Maldives, a paradise destination in the middle of the Indian Ocean and typical among couples. There you can disconnect from the stress of the last few days and enjoy the crystal-clear waters and the exclusive resorts with bungalows on the sand of the beach, and even on the sea. Massages, gastronomic delights, snorkling with manta rays and sightseeing visits (for example to the capital, Malé) are some of the ways in which the mayor and Urquijo will spend their time. The influencer Marta Pombo and Luis Zamalloa also enjoyed their honeymoon there.

The second destination that the couple has chosen is Bhutan, a small Buddhist kingdom located in the Himalayas and bordering China and India. It is a place that is characterized by its monasteries and fortresses and that also invites you to adventure and trekking (its altitude ranges between 97 meters of the Drangme Chhu River and 7,570 meters of Gangkhar Puensum, its highest mountain). It is also known as “the happiest country in the world” since the Gross National Happiness Index is used as an indicator of quality of life in this Asian country.

The couple will be away from their jobs at least until after the weekend of April 20 and 21, at least the mayor, since according to those around him it is confirmed that he will attend the Laureus World Sports awards ceremony for the best athletes in 2023.
