The Minister of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanzannounced this Friday the opening of the call for the prizes flies 2026, a biennial appointment that aims to make visible and recognize people, entities and projects with real impact on the digital life of Andalusian citizenship, especially from the local level.
Sanz has made this announcement during the inauguration of the Point flies from Mairena del Alcor (Seville), the first of the fifth transformation phase of the network of “more extensive digital competitions in Europe”, reports the Board in a press release.
The call for these awards is open to individual or collective candidacies, which may be presented through an online form now available on the flying points, as explained by the counselor, which has also pointed out that the social impact, innovation and the replicability capacity of each proposal will be especially assessed.
The last Volla awards were given in November 2024 in the framework of the II Congress of Artificial Intelligence of Andalusia, highlighting people, entities and key initiatives in the digitalization selected between almost 60 candidates. “This new appointment is consolidated as a reference to boost the relationship of citizens with electronic administration, digital training and the flying network, key in the technological transformation of Andalusian municipalities.
A wide team of professionals who carry the digitalization of the vulnerable areas of the cities so that in the digital transformation of Andalusia no one is left behind, “said the counselor.
In this edition of the awards, four categories are presented: Volla Prize connecting lives and digital inclusion (for projects that guarantee fair, equitable and human access to digital life), a prize fly learning (for initiatives that form, train and empower citizens in digital competitions), Vuela Digital Innovation Prize in towns and neighborhoods (for technological solutions with tangible impact in the territory, from the community) Fly living the digital meaning (for proposals focused on well -being, digital ethics and critical citizenship).
Candidacy requirements
They may present their candidacy both people linked to the points fly (users and professionals), and public or private entities and members of the local innovation agents (AIL). The awards ceremony will be part of the Andalusia 2026 fly, an event that will gather on January 27 more than 1,000 professionals, users, public and private entities, companies and social agents involved in the vuel ecosystem, with the common goal of moving towards a more digital, inclusive, dynamic and connected Andalusia.
Sanz has also highlighted at the inauguration of the Miraena del Alcor point that the Andalusia Digital Agency (ADA) is immersed in the complete transformation of the Red Points network, which has already allocated 42.5 million euros in the first four phases, to which 6.7 million more are added in equipment.
“This leafy dots project is the largest digital competition network in Europe,” Sanz explained. With this fifth phase that is currently being developed, 340 new points flies at 389 already transformed into previous phases, thus reaching a total of 729 digital avant -garde spaces distributed by the eight Andalusian provinces.
This will raise 100% the percentage of centers transformed in the Andalusian villages once this phase ends. In the province of Seville, the Red Points Network has 92 active centers, of which 48 are already working as points after an investment of 2.7 million euros. This last phase in which we will be allowed to transform before the end of the year another 44 new points fly in the province.
Network of Digital Competencies Centers
This network of digital competition centers offers 33,500 square meters for coworking with free Wi -Fi, as well as more than 69,000 square meters for training, entrepreneurship and accompaniment services. Regarding the activity at the fly, the counselor stressed that since 2022 more than two million users have been served, which represents growth in this period of 27.6%. 59,713 dynamization activities have been organized in which 329,322 people have participated, as well as 27,448 training activities to which 161,585 users have attended.
In addition, 88,513 activities related to assistance in the realization of procedures with the electronic administration have been carried out, through which 1,481,592 people have passed. The activity of the flying network is part of the Andalusian Digital Training Plan 2022-2025, a key document that marks the actions to bring free digital training to all corners of the region, reaching citizens, public employees to provide a better service, to companies and digital entrepreneurs. Along these lines, the Andalusian initiative flies offers free and free digital training in technologies such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or digital marketing.
