The summer period is ideal for children and adolescents to develop new skills in a safe and motivating environment. And parents parents, explore what new experiences have at their disposal so that their offspring spend part of their free time in activities that combine learning, creativity and fun.
With this purpose, Cibervolutionary Foundation launches an edition of the digital camp, a free training proposal for technological education with face -to -face activities, aimed at young people between 9 and 17 years.
This program, framed in the Digital Competencies Program for Children (CODI)-impulsed by the Ministry of Youth and Childhood and financed by the European Union-Next Generation EU-offers an intensive week of training in digital competences, with sessions adapted by ages and level of knowledge.
The initiative aims to bring technology in a practical, responsible and accessible way to childhood and youth throughout Spain, especially in vulnerability contexts or rural areas. To participate it is not necessary to have previous knowledge, because it is designed for any boy, girl or young, either beginner or has some experience.
The activities, taught by specialized educators, are developed in educational centers, collaborating entities and spaces provided by the Cibervolutionary Foundation, in. Hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., between the months of June and September.
Custom content
The content of the camp varies according to the ages: from 9 to 11 years, they work on the recognition of false news, design of digital content and basic cybersecurity. From 12 to 13 years, they deepen the healthy use of social networks, digital privacy and critical thinking of misinformation. And from 14 to 17 years, they are introduced in areas such as digital marketing, creation of a curriculum, programming, artificial intelligence and digital entrepreneurship ..
The applied methodology is based on active learning: young people acquire knowledge through games, collaborative challenges and interactive activities that foster creativity, critical thinking and teamwork.
Digital camp, in addition to teaching to use technology, helps to understand it, create with it and take advantage of it as a personal and professional development tool. For the organizers, the initiative aims to help respond, with a vision of the future and real inclusion, to the challenges of a connected generation.
Participants obtain at the end of a Digcomp certificate in digital competitions, endorsed by the European Union. Registrations are open through the official website Campmentodigital.org. Educational centers, municipalities and other entities interested in offering this training can also participate.
